Report a car parked illegally in public charging space

Is a vehicle parked in a designated electric-car charging space and it is not being charged? You can report this to the municipality.

When to make a report

A vehicle which is not being charged is not allowed to park in a designated electric-car charging space. This rule applies to both a ‘conventional’ (non-electric) car and an electric car which is not plugged into the charging station. You can recognise an electric-car charging space by the charging post and by a large cross painted on the parking space. Electric cars can be charged here during the reserved window of times. You can find these times on the sign at the charging station.

Needed to make the report

To report a problem to the municipality you need to provide the following information:

  • The location of the public charging space: a street name and house number or intersection.
  • The day and time when the public charging space is usually occupied by a vehicle which is not being charged or a non-electric car.
