Dutch voters abroad: Request a replacement postal voting slip
Are you registered as a Dutch voter abroad? Then you will receive your voting documents by post. You did not receive your postal voting slip or you lost it? If so, use this page to request a replacement postal voting slip.
What is a postal voting slip?
A postal voting slip is a voting pass for Dutch voters abroad. You use it to cast a postal vote. A postal voting slip will only be sent by post.
The postal voting slips for the Dutch parliamentary elections will be sent by post as of 30 August 2023. The municipality will send you an email notification once your postal voting slip has been sent. Has it been several weeks since you got this notification and have you still not received a postal voting slip? Or have you lost the postal voting slip? Request a replacement postal voting slip. You will receive the replacement postal voting slip by email or by post.
The municipality must receive your complete application by Friday, 10 November 2023 by 23.59 hrs. (CET). A complete application consists of the filled in and signed application form and a copy of your valid Dutch identity document.
Request a replacement postal voting slip
- Make sure you are registered as a Dutch voter abroad.
- Fill in the form and print it out.
- Sign the completed form.
- Scan the signed form or take a photo of it.
- Make a copy of your valid identity document or take a photo of it. This identity document must be valid on 9 October 2023. The form contains a list of the identity documents you are allowed to submit.
- Finalise the application by uploading the signed form and the complete copy of your identity document or by sending both documents by email or post to the municipality. If you have filled in the online form, you will receive instructions about how you should upload the form. You will also get a link to more information on what other documents you need to send.
- Your replacement postal voting slip will be sent to the email address or postal address you provided.

Replacement postal voting slip for Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten
Do you live on Aruba, Curaçao or Sint Maarten? And are you requesting a replacement postal voting slip? Your replacement postal voting slip will be sent to the Netherlands Representative Office. You will be notified when you can collect the replacement postal voting slip at the Netherlands Representative Office.
