Taking your waste to a drop-off centre

Dispose of your bulky waste, garden waste and construction and demolition waste at a waste drop-off centre using your Afvalpas. Most types of waste are accepted free of charge. Reusable goods can be taken to a charity shop (kringloopwinkel).

Busy at the waste drop-off centres

It is quite busy at the waste drop-off centres. To limit the number of visitors the municipality asks that you keep your bulky waste or garden waste at home for now. If this is not possible, plan for a longer wait than usual. And keep a distance of 1.5 metres from staff and other visitors at the waste drop-off centre.

Are you unable to drop off your bulky household waste or garden waste yourself? Make an appointment to have your bulky waste collected free of charge. You can pay a fee to have construction and demolition waste collected. Make a separate appointment for this.

Take your Afvalpas

Always take your Afvalpas to the waste drop-off centres. You need the pass to enter. Read more about the Afvalpas.

At the waste drop-off centres you separate your bulky waste by the waste type, such as wood, stone and iron. Bulky waste contains many valuable materials which can be reused or recycled. And harmful materials can be processed in a safe way. This is why it is important that you dispose of your bulky waste in the correct container. The staff at the waste drop-off centre will advise you on which container you should use.
  • Construction and demolition waste

Read where you can drop off construction and demolition waste and what the fees are on the page Removal of construction and demolition waste.

    Company waste

The rules for rubbish collection for companies are different from the rules for household waste. Companies may not drop off their waste at a waste drop-off centre. Contract an authorised waste management company to collect your company waste. You will find more information on the page Waste removal for companies.

    Reusable goods

Reusable goods can be taken to a recycled goods shop (kringloopwinkel). For example, functioning televisions, clothing or furniture. Some charity shops have a collection service. Look at allekringloopwinkels.nl. Or have the items repaired, for example at a repair café.
