You can convert your registered partnership into a marriage. You can do this at a municipal location or free-choice wedding venue.

Request a declaration of no impediment
The declaration of no impediment states that you are currently not married and that you and your partner are permitted to get married under Dutch law.

You can use a declaration of unmarried status to prove that you are not married. For example, if you wish to marry abroad.
