Apply for sheltered and supervised housing

Is it difficult for you to live on your own for a while because of problems? You may need sheltered housing or supervised housing. In these forms of housing, you stay in a care facility where you receive support. You can apply for this here.

Sheltered or supervised housing is meant for people who temporarily cannot live independently. For example because of psychological or psychosocial problems. These can be personal problems, problems in your mind, or problems at home. In both types of housing, you stay in a care facility and receive support.

Sheltered housing

Sheltered housing (beschermd wonen) is for people who need a lot of support and care. You usually live temporarily in a care facility. There is help and supervision day and night. You pay a personal contribution for this. You can calculate your contribution using the Begin external link: Personal contribution calculation tool(External link), end external link. (CAK).

Supervised living

In supervised housing, you live more independently. You stay in a care home. But the support worker only helps you sometimes, not all day. Housing and care are more separate than in sheltered housing. There is no support at night. You pay your own rent.
