City district offices

You can visit The Hague's city district offices to arrange your municipal affairs. You are welcome to visit any of the 8 district offices, regardless of where you live in The Hague. You can avoid a long wait by making an appointment in advance through the website.

Please note: You can only pay by bank card at the district offices; however, you can also pay cash, as well as by bank card, at the Centrum district office (City Hall).

Opening hours for Public Service desks

The city district offices have different hours of operation. Some are also open in the evening but by appointment only.

You will always be able to visit a Public Service desk with an appointment between 8.30 and 20.00 hrs. if you have made an appointment in advance, you will not have to wait long.

You do not have to make an appointment to collect your documents (a passport, identity card or driving licence).

    Legal advice

    Reading room of The Hague Municipal Archives

    The Hague Municipal Archives, the archives of Leidschendam-Voorburg and the collection of the Netherlands Music Institute have a joint reading room on the ground level of City Hall. More information on The Hague Municipal Archives.

    VvE-balie

    Apartment owners in The Hague can visit the municipality's VvE-balie with questions about their homeowners association (Vereniging van Eigenaren). The desk will provide advice on how you can start up or improve a VvE. More information about the VvE-balie.
