The Department of Public Service (Publiekszaken) is often the first point of contact residents of The Hague have with the municipality. The department is responsible for all municipal affairs which have a direct link with the public.

The Department of Public Service (Publiekszaken) is located in the City Office at Leyweg 813, 2545 HA The Hague. The Department of Public Service is also present at all the city district offices.
You can contact the Department of Public Service for:
- Municipal products and services. For example, products containing personal data, such as a passport and driving licence.

- City districts and neighbourhoods. The Department of Public Service carries out its tasks in close contact with residents at the city district and neighbourhood level.
- The Municipal Tax Department deals with municipal taxes.
The Hague’s Department of Public Service also has a national duty to Dutch citizens living abroad, such as registering their votes during elections (Afdeling Landelijke Taken).
