Standard BRP extract

An extract from the Personal Records Database (BRP) is an overview of your personal data as they are registered with the municipality. Official agencies can ask you for an extract from the BRP.

Conditions

You are registered at an address in The Hague.

Apply

Apply for the extract online (in Dutch). Log in with DigiD. Once you are logged in, click on ‘Volgende’. You can then choose which extract you need.

Fees

€ 16.65 (rate in 2023). You pay this amount directly through iDEAL with your online application.

How long does it take?

The municipality will send you the extract within 3 working days. The day on which you receive it depends on the mail service to your home address.

Do you need the extract right away? Visit City Hall Spui or the Leyweg City Office. For the hours of operation go to City district offices: opening hours and locations. You do not need to make an appointment. Do not forget to bring a valid form of identification.

Good to know

  • The extract states your surname, your given name(s), your date and place of birth and your home address. The extract is available in Dutch. Information about extracts in another language can be found under International BRP extract
  • It is not possible to apply online for an extract on someone else’s behalf. Read the information about this under Request a BRP extract for someone else.
  • Do you need to have the document translated? You can have documents from abroad translated into Dutch by a sworn translator. For documents which are needed within the European Union you can request a multilingual standard form along with the document from the Netherlands.
