Registration procedures for international students

International students who will be staying in The Hague for longer than 4 months are required to be registered in the Personal Records Database (BRP). The students will then get a citizen service number (BSN).

The municipality organises special student registration days in February and September. Students can make an appointment through the website of The Hague International Centre. Students from all universities (WO) and universities of applied sciences (HBO) can make an appointment if they are living in The Hague.

The student registration days will take place in City Hall (Spui 70) in The Hague. The student registration desks are located on the 1st floor, above the general reception desk of The Hague International Centre by the back entrance. Banner signs will lead you there.

Will you be moving to another address in The Hague after you registered? Report your move.

Will you be moving to another municipality or abroad? Deregister from the municipality.
