Cycling lessons for adults
Everybody should be able to use the roads safely. This is why cycling lessons are being offered to people who have never learned how to ride a bike. The lessons are also for older people who would like to practice new skills.
The municipality is doing a lot to make the city safe for cyclists. For example there are good and safe cycle paths. You can reach most of your destinations on the bike. In addition, cycling is inexpensive. And it is often faster to travel around the city by bicycle.
In the Netherlands cycling is a common way of getting around. Almost everybody learns how to ride a bike. If you are from another country, you may not yet be able to ride a bike. The Hague offers cycling lessons for beginners and for older people. There are also cycling lessons offered to women only.

These range from basic skills and techniques to carrying out small repairs. The expat course, designed to suit the whole family, will teach you Dutch traffic rules and will help you practice key routes.
You can learn how to cycle at many other places in the city as well. The costs of the cycling lessons differ depending on the location. You can often get a discount with an Ooievaarspas reduction card. The lessons are also given on different days and at different times. Often there are bicycles available. Would you like to practice cycling together with other people? There are a number of cycling clubs in the city.
