Request charging point for electric car

Do you have an electric car or would you like to drive an electric car? And are you unable to park on your own property? Ask the municipality to install a public charging station in your neighbourhood. All residents and visitors are allowed to charge their car there.

  1. Apply for a public charging point

    Go to Begin link: Apply, end link. . After your application you will receive an email.

  2. The municipality will investigate

    The municipality checks if more people are interested in a public charing point in your neighbourhood. For example, to see if there have been more applications and how many current charging points are in use. Is there enough demand? Then a charging point will be installed.

  3. A contractor installs the charging point

    It takes up to 18 months after your application.

  • You are registered as a resident of The Hague or you work in The Hague.
  • You have a vehicle registration certificate or a purchase or lease contract for an electric car.
  • You are unable to park on your own property.

Installing new charging point
between 12 and 18 months

  • The contractor makes their own schedule. Therefore the municipality is unable to keep you updated regarding your application.
  • The electricity grid is becoming full. Sometimes the capacity of the electricity network first needs to be expanded before a new charging point can be installed.
