Free-choice wedding venues in The Hague

- The location must be easily accessible. Also for disabled people or people who have difficulty walking.
- The location must be a public venue.
- The location must not conflict with public order or accepted rules of good conduct.
- The location must be safe.
- There should be sanitary facilities at the location.
- There must be a dressing area for the civil registrar.

Request new wedding venue
Would you like to get married or enter into a civil partnership at a spot which the municipality has not designated as a wedding venue? The municipality must first designate the spot as a one-time or permanent wedding venue. The building will need to meet a a number of Begin link: conditions, end link. .
The owner of the venue must fill in the statement of approval and the application form. You send them by email to: Begin link: trouwen@denhaag.nl, end link. . Do this at least 16 weeks before the ceremony.

When you reserve your municipal wedding location at a municipal counter you will need to pay right away. You can pay in cash or use a bank card at City Hall Spui. You can only use a bank card at the Leyweg City Office. Unfortunately it is not possible to pay by credit card.
When you make a reservation online, you will receive an invoice by email.
