Guest Lesson on Digital Safety

On 29 September 2025, the pupils of group 7 and 8 at De Bras Primary School will receive a special guest lesson from Ron Oostveen (KPN) on digital safety and online awareness. In an interactive session, the children will learn how to navigate the internet and social media more safely.

Topics covered will include: how easily passwords can be guessed, protecting your privacy on WhatsApp, and recognising vulnerabilities through a practical example shown on the digital whiteboard. Pupils will also work on critically assessing online information: can you really trust everything you read or see?

With this lesson, KPN aims to make children more aware of their own online behaviour and to provide them with practical tips to protect themselves against digital risks.
