National co-financing for Digital Europe projects
The European Commission has recently launched the new Digital Europe Programme work programmes for 2025-2027, with a total EU budget of €1.7 billion. This includes funding for AI, cloud, data, and digital skills projects, alongside €390 million dedicated to cybersecurity. To encourage Dutch participation, the Ministry of Economic Affairs is providing an additional €1.5 million in national co-financing, enabling Dutch businesses, research institutions and public entities to cover a larger share of project costs.
