Walk of Hope The Hague

The peace initiative Walk of Hope will hold various activities in The Hague from 28 to 30 March including a walk of 1,000 students for a united humanity, lecture, youth conference and discussion panel. The public may sign up to participate in the various events.
Walk of Hope brings people together, spreading the message of non-violence, solidarity and peace. It is inspired by the Walk of Hope India which was initiated and led by Sri M, social reformer, peace activist and educationist. Lasting 18 months and crossing 7,500 km, it reached over 1 million people. Walk of Hope was endorsed by the United Nations as a unique peace initiative.
You are invited to attend the ‘One Planet One Humanity’ programme in Museon on Wednesday, 29 March. The programme will be held from 16.00 to 18.00 hrs.
Jointly organised by The Walk of Hope, The Hague Bridge and Museon, the event will be attended by Sri M who will give a talk entitled ‘Can we still strive towards Oneness of Humanity in today’s world?’ Mr. Adama Dieng, the UN Secretary-General's Special Adviser for the Prevention of Genocide, will speak on ‘Towards Oneness – Prevention of discrimination, hatred speech and violence.’ The gathering is meant to be a forum for informal, interactive and open exchanges.

Dinner and debate
There is also a chance to attend the ‘Oneness in Diversity’ dinner and debate programme at Theater de Vaillant on Tuesday, 28 March. This event will feature the speakers Sri M, Mahmood Khan, Ad van der Helm and Khaled Bentounes It will take place at (Hobbemastraat 120) from 17.30 to 20.30 hrs. ‘Oneness of Humanity’ walk
On Thursday, 30 March Walk of Hope is organising a walk in The Hague. The walk aims to spread the message of peace, harmony and oneness of humanity.
Some 1,000 high school and university students along with teachers and other participants will walk from the ISH to the Peace Palace (arriving between 12.30 and 13.00 hrs.). Participating schools include the International School of The Hague, the European School, Dalton School, Johan de Witt College, Segbroek College and ROC Mondriaan.
The walk will be followed by the Walk of Hope youth conference at the International School of The Hague starting at 16.45 hrs. You can register to attend by sending an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
