Report broken street lighting

The Hague has thousands of lampposts. Have you spotted a problem with a street light? Report it to the municipality.

Make a report

To report a problem to the municipality you need to provide the following information:

• description of the problem
• the location of the street light
• the number of faulty lampposts
• if available: the number of the lamppost. This number can be found on a sticker on the lamppost.

If 5 or more street lamps are not working in a street or if none of the street lights are working in a street, this can lead to a dangerous situation. You can report an urgent issue to the municipality by phoning telephone number 14070. Urgent issues can be reported 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on tel. 14070.

How long does it take?

Faulty lampposts will be repaired within 5 working days. This can take longer if the problem is complex or the lamppost needs to be replaced.
