Long-term parking permit for house guests

Do you live in an area with paid parking and will you have visitors staying for several days? You can order an extra parking permit for your house guests ('long-term guest parking permit').

Permit in name and number plate

The permit will be assigned to the resident and to the number plate of the visitor's vehicle.

  • You may order this permit up to 5 times per calendar year.
  • You may not use this permit for longer than a total of 3 months per calendar year.
  • If the number plate registered with the municipality changes, you will need to order a revised permit. Go to Switch the number plate on parking permit.

No pass

Your visitors will no longer need a pass to park. Parking wardens will scan the number plates of parked cars to check if your visitors have a valid permit (this is called 'number plate parking').

  • The visitor does not live in The Hague region (Stadsgewest Haaglanden): The Hague, Zoetermeer, Westland, Delft, Leidschendam-Voorburg, Pijnacker-Nootdorp, Rijswijk, Wassenaar or Midden-Delfland.
  • The permit may not be used for commercial purposes.
  • The vehicle for which the permit is requested may not have been registered under the name of the applicant/resident in the year prior to the application.

Fees for permit

  • If no resident's parking permit has been issued to your address, the long-term guest parking permit (vakantievergunning) costs € 5.35 per month.
  • If 1 or more resident's parking permits have been issued to your address, the long-term guest parking permit costs €24 per month (the fee applicable to the second and subsequent parking permits at the same address).
  • There is a € 14.50 fee for each application.

These are the rates for 2020.

How long does it take?

You can indicate when you would like the permit to take effect. It is possible to have it take effect immediately.
