Give a declaration of support (for voters)

Political parties which do not yet have a seat in The Hague’s Municipal Council must prove that voters in The Hague support their party. Parties can prove this by collecting at least 30 declarations of support.

Voters use a declaration of support to state that they support the political party. And that they want the party to take part in the municipal council elections on 16 March 2022.

Voters can give a declaration of support from 3 to 31 January 2022. You can do this at the election counter at City Hall (Spui 70).

        The election counter is open:

        • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8.30 to 17.00 hrs.
        • Thursday: 12.00 to 20.00 hrs.

        • Bring a valid proof of identity.
        • You live in the Municipality of The Hague.
        • You have voting rights for the municipal elections.
        • Bring a completed and printed Model H4 form. The political party can also give you the form.

        How it works

        • At the election counter a staff member checks whether you have voting rights for the municipal elections.
        • You sign the completed form (Model H4) in the presence of the election counter staff member.
        • You are allowed to give a declaration of support for the municipal elections 2022 only one time. You may not withdraw this declaration of support later.
        • The staff member will stamp the form.
        • You take the form with you and make sure that it gets to the political party or organisation.
