Overview of complaints about public areas

Report problems in the public space to ensure that the city stays clean, organised and tidy. Do you have a complaint about a public area? This can be reported online.

Although the online complaints form is in Dutch (Melding Openbare Ruimte), the procedure is fairly straightforward. You will need to note the location (address) of the problem as precisely as possible and to describe the problem in as much detail as possible. You are also encouraged to upload digital photos. Read all about the procedure under Report a problem to the municipality.

There is no charge for filing a complaint about a public area and in most cases the municipality will address the problem within 3 to 5 working days.

A complete overview of all the problems you can report to the municipality can be found below. This list will assist you in filling out the form as it gives a translation for all the kinds of reports that can be made.
