BRP registration for highly skilled migrants and scientific researchers coming from abroad

Do you fall within the highly skilled migrant or scientific researcher scheme of the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND)? And are you coming from abroad to live in The Hague, Delft, Leidschendam-Voorburg or Rijswijk for more than 4 months? If so, you can get an expedited procedure for registration in the Personal Records Database (BRP).

The expedited registration procedure is offered by the Municipality of The Hague and the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND).

Conditions

In order to be able to register in the BRP at The Hague International Centre you must:

  • work for a company or organisation in the Netherlands which is recognised as a sponsor by the by the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) and is listed in the Public Register of Recognised Sponsors and
  • be coming to live in The Hague, Delft, Leidschendam-Voorburg or Rijswijk for longer than 4 months.

Make an appointment on the website of The Hague International Centre. The website will also explain which documents you need to take to your appointment.

How long does it take?

You will be registered in the BRP during your appointment.
