Opening hours for swimming pools, reservation required

Swimming is fun and healthy. At the moment you can only go to The Hague's swimming pools for swimming lessons and lap swimming. Look at the swimming rules and the opening hours on this page.

Online reservation required

You can reserve a time slot for lap swimming online in the sport webshop. You will need an account to do this. If you do not yet have an account, first fill in the form. Opening hours

Look at the regular opening hours for each swimming pool:

Lap swimming with a swimming certificate

Lap swimming is available to everybody with a swimming certificate. Everyone needs to keep a distance of 1.5 metres from each other both in and out of the water. A maximum of 30 visitors are allowed to swim laps per time slot.

Swimming rules

To make sure everybody can swim safely a number of explicit rules are in effect:

  • Stay home if you have a cold or flu-like symptoms, even mild symptoms, and get tested.
  • Do not arrive any earlier than 10 minutes in advance at the swimming pool.
  • Take your swimming pass or valid ID with you.
  • Make contactless payments or pay with a bank card (with PIN).
  • Follow the walking routes.
  • The changing rooms are open, the showers are closed. Toilets are open for emergencies. Use the toilet at home.
  • Keep a distance of 1.5 metres from others, even in the water. Give each other space.
  • Always follow the instructions of the staff and water safety managers.
  • The cash desk closes 30 minutes before the end of the activity.
  • Wear a face mask in the entrance hall of the swimming pool.
  • Spectators are not permitted.
  • Parents are only allowed inside the building during their child's swimming lesson to pay at the cash desk. They need to wait outside until the swimming lesson has ended. You can find more information on the page Swimming lessons during the coronavirus crisis.
