Opening hours and rules for The Hague's swimming pools

Swimming is fun and healthy. You can visit The Hague's swimming pools for swimming lessons, lap swimming, recreational swimming, family swimming and water sports. Look at the swimming rules and the opening hours on this page.

Reservation no longer required

As of Saturday, 25 September you no longer need to make a reservation for swimming. You also no longer need to keep a 1.5 metre distance in The Hague's swimming pools. The coronavirus rules do apply, however, to the canteens in the swimming pools. Everyone aged 13 and older are only permitted inside with a coronavirus entry pass. This applies to all restaurants indoors, with or without fixed seating. Everyone aged 14 and older will also have to show their ID along with the coronavirus entry pass.

To make sure everybody can swim safely a number of rules are in effect:

  • Stay home if you have a cold or flu-like symptoms, even mild symptoms, and get tested.
  • Take your swimming pass or valid ID with you.
  • Follow the instructions of the staff and water safety managers.
  • The cash desk closes 30 minutes before the end of the activity.
  • Use the lockers to store bags and other personal items.
