Vlaggetjesdag: getting to Scheveningen

The annual Vlaggetjesdag festival will take place on Saturday, 16 June in the Scheveningen harbour. This annual festival is one of the busiest days of the year in The Hague. Traffic will have only limited access to the area from Friday, 15 June to Sunday, 17 June.

The event will feature old craft making, puppet theatre, fresh fish displays, demonstrations of sea rescue operations, sailing events and a naval review along the coast of Scheveningen.

The following locations are being used for the event:

  • First Harbour: Adriaan Maasplein, Visafslag, Vissershavenweg
  • Second Harbour: Dr. Lelykade, Schokkerweg, Zeesluisweg, 2de Zeesluisdwarsweg.

Closed to traffic

The event site will be closed off using crowd-control barriers and will be accessible only to pedestrians and people in a wheelchair. The locations are accessible to visitors via:

  • Dr. Lelykade
  • Westduinweg
  • Schokkerweg
  • Vissershavenweg

Dr. Lelykade temporarily closed

The Dr. Lelykade is closed to traffic while the event site is being setting up. The site is closed from Saturday, 16 June at 6.00 hrs. from the Kapitein De Rijckstraat in the direction of the Viermaster building to the 'Pijp'.

Accessibility

Visitors are advised to make use of public transportation. Or come by bike and park it in 1 of the guarded parking facilities.

Parking
