Utrechtsebaan (A12) closed several nights in September and November

Rijkswaterstaat will be replacing the signs above the A12 on the Utrechtsebaan in September and November. It will also be carrying out work in both directions between the Zuid-Hollandlaan (by Malieveld) and the Prins Clausplein.

During the project Rijkswaterstaat will be placing new energy-saving matrix signs and communications systems.

Diversions

Motorists should anticipate an additional travel time of 10 to 30 minutes. The diversions are indicated on yellow signs and information panels along and above the road.

Work in September

  • In the direction of The Hague: work will be carried out on the A12 from Tuesday, 25 September at 22.00 hrs. to Wednesday, 26 September at 5.00 hrs.
  • In the direction of Utrecht: work will be carried out on the A12 from Wednesday, 26 September at 22.00 hrs. to Thursday, 27 September at 5.00 hrs.
  • The A12 under the Prins Clausplein will then be closed.
  • Emergency service vehicles and public transport will still be able to use the Utrechtsebaan.
  • Traffic will be re-routed via the N14.

    Work in November

    • In the direction of The Hague and Utrecht: work will be carried out in both directions of the A12 from Friday, 23 November at 22.00 hrs. to Saturday, 24 November at 5.00 hrs. and Saturday, 24 November at 22.00 hrs. to Sunday, 25 November at 8.00 hrs.
    • The Utrechtsebaan will then be completely closed. Emergency service vehicles and public transport will still be able to use the Utrechtsebaan.
    • Traffic to and from the city will be re-routed via the N14.

    In the event of unfavourable weather conditions, the work will be postponed until the weekend of 15 December 2018.
