You certainly know them: a lovely basket of flower bulbs on the table. They bring a bit of spring into the house. But what do you do when the bulbs are finished blooming? Throw them away? That is a pity because these bulbs are good enough to recycle. This is why they are being collected at the city farms.

A new life for the flower bulbs

Children will replant the flower bulbs, such as daffodils and hyacinths, outdoors at the city farm in the autumn. This way everybody can enjoy them again next year. Garden centres will also help put together small trays with flower bulbs. Seniors who can use a bit of cheering up will receive these trays next year as a gift. Your flower bulbs will be reused in a good way.

In 2018 more than 175 kg of bulbs were turned into the city farms.
