During the National Diabetes Challenge you will go walking with a group 1 time a week for 10 weeks. You will walk with your healthcare provider and other participants in your neighbourhood. Walking together is fun. And you can improve your health at the same time.

Who is it for

Everybody who has or does not have diabetes who would like to get healthier and more fit. The programme builds up gently so that everybody can keep up. Even if you are not used to walking or being physically active.

Participants feel more fit and energetic after the challenge. They lose weight and sometimes need less medication. They also see that being active together and working on getting healthier is important and can be fun. This helps them to stay active even after the challenge.
