Prins Bernhardviaduct ready

Published: 11 December 2017Modified: 11 December 2017

The work on the Prins Bernhardviaduct is ready. The overpass has been adapted for the new bus platform, maintenance work was carried out and the traffic lanes were repaved. Motorists are again able to use both lanes on the viaduct as of Friday, 8 December.

The adaptations to the viaduct were needed due to the modernisation of the bus platform. The overpass now has a combined entrance and exit for the bus platform.

Cyclists and pedestrians

The viaduct is part of the star bike route between the downtown area and Leidschenveen. The cycle paths and sidewalks have been improved and a safe pedestrian crossing with traffic lights was created. A new staircase will be constructed next year so that commuters can more easily reach the bus platform from the  Schedeldoekshaven via the Prins Bernhardviaduct.
