The municipality will make 1,000 telematics devices available to residents and business in The Hague for free. These devices will monitor and record information from vehicles over a 3-month period in order to provide drivers with tailor-made advice. This advice will include whether an electric car would be a good solution and what that would cost.

For 3 months residents of The Hague or businesses with taxis or delivery vans will get a telematics device for free. The ANWB package will be installed in their current car. After the 3-month period the residents or businesses can keep the device in their car. The in-vehicle enabler for data collection gives drivers feedback on their driving behaviour and tips to improve it.

Working towards cleaner air

Electric transportation has a positive effect on the air quality. And this is beneficial to the health of the residents of The Hague. This is why the municipality is stimulating a number of different activities in the area of electric transportation through the Actieplan luchtkwaliteit 2015 - 2018. The municipality is placing charging stations throughout the city (now more than 550) and it is subsidising different forms of electric transportation.
