Maximum of 30 people in municipality’s public spaces

Published: 19 October 2020Modified: 19 October 2020

To protect everyone against the coronavirus (COVID-19) the maximum number of people allowed in the municipality’s publicly accessible spaces has been decreased from 100 to 30 people (including children). This includes indoor spaces such as the Atrium of City Hall Spui. Read what this can mean if you would like to make an appointment or go to an appointment.

This measure was taken after the national corona rules were made more stringent. This considerable decrease in the number of people permitted means that fewer people can be served at the same time and it may take some time before you can make an appointment. You should also anticipate that you may have to wait for a bit outside by the entrances to City Hall Spui and the Leyweg City Office.

Come alone

In order to provide service as best as possible, only the people who need to attend the appointment will be allowed inside. This means that you should go to the appointment alone unless it is not possible otherwise. For example, if a parent submits an application for a child, or if you have an authorisation or if you need assistance to attend the appointment. The security guards will keep track of the number of people in the public spaces. Follow their instructions so that everybody stays safe.

Factor in time for waiting

You may have to wait for a bit because there are already 30 people inside. Particularly if you come without an appointment (for example to collect documents) there is a good chance that you will have to wait because appointments have priority.

Wear a face mask

In all of the municipality’s public spaces, such as the Atrium in City Hall Spui and the Leyweg City office there is an urgent advisory to wear a face mask. You will be asked to put your face mask on at the entrance and to comply with the other corona measures.

Apply through the website

You can apply for many municipal products and services through the website. We recommend that you do this as much as possible as you can do this from home.
