Leidsestraatweg: closed on weekend for paving work

The Leidsestraatweg will get new asphalt between the Landscheidingsweg and the Waalsdorperweg. This work will be carried out only for the lane in the direction of The Hague. The work will begin at 20.00 hrs. on Friday, 14 May and last until 6.00 hrs. on Monday, 17 May.

The work will be carried out during the day and in the night. It will be postponed in the event of rain.

Diversions

Vehicular traffic

The Leidsestraatweg will be closed to all traffic between the Landscheidingsweg and the Waalsdorperweg during the paving work. Traffic will be diverted:

  • via the Landscheidingsweg – Bezuidenhoutseweg – Laan van Nieuw Oost-Indië or
  • via the Van Alkemadelaan – Waalsdorperweg - Theo Mann-Bouwmeesterlaan – Groenendaal – Waalsdorperlaan.

On the A4 Amsterdam-Den Haag traffic will be advised at the Burgerveen interchange to follow the A4 and to take the A12 in the direction of Den Haag Centrum at the Ypenburg interchange.

Public transportation

During the project the Arriva and EBS buses will not operate on the Leidsestraatweg. The bus stops on the Leidsestraatweg, Benoordenhoutseweg and the Willem Witsenplein will temporarily not be use.
