Tuesday, 19 September 2023 is Prinsjesdag: the opening of the new parliamentary year. The king and queen and 2 of their daughters will ride in the Glass Coach from Noordeinde Palace to the Koninklijke Schouwburg. Due to the renovation work taking place at the Binnenhof, King Willem-Alexander will read this year’s ‘Speech from the Throne’ there. As of Friday, 15 September the police will place barriers where cars will not be able to pass. And the municipality will fence off the procession route of the Glass Coach.
