Inflatable armbands required in The Hague’s swimming pools

Due to safety regulations children who do not have a swimming certificate are required to wear inflatable armbands in all of The Hague’s swimming pools as of 24 March 2018.

Visitors can borrow the inflatable armbands for free in the swimming hall of the pools until 29 April 2018 (while supplies last). After 29 April it will only be possible to purchase the inflatable armbands at the cash desk for € 5.60 per set. A life jacket (personal flotation device) will also be permitted.

Without inflatable armbands

It is possible to swim with your child without inflatable armbands in the following swimming pools on specific days:

Het Hofbad swimming pool, instructional pool

  • Saturday from 9.30 to 11.00 hrs.
  • Wednesday from 13.00 to 14.30 hrs.

Overbosch swimming pool, instructional pool

  • Saturday from 12.00 to 14.00 hrs.
  • Sunday from 8.00 to 14.00 hrs.

Zuiderpark swimming pool, instructional pool

  • Saturday from 10.30 to 13.00 hrs.

De Houtzagerij swimming pool, instructional pool

  • Wednesday from 15.30 to 17.00 hrs.
  • Saturday from 13.30 to 16.00 hrs.
  • Sunday from 11.00 to 13.30 hrs.
