HTM doing maintenance on rails in tram tunnel

HTM will be working on the rails in the tram tunnel under the Grote Markt and Kalvermarkt from Saturday, 14 July to Monday, 30 July. Read the travel advisory.

  • The Grote Markt and Spui stops will be closed.
  • The Beatrixkwartier stop will also be closed due to work on the tracks.
  • Tram 2, 3, 4 and 6 will operate an alternative route from Brouwersgracht in the direction of Central Station and Laan van  Nieuw Oost-IndiĆ« (NOI) and back.

Diversions

  • Trams 2,3 and 6 will be re-routed along the Jan Hendrikstraat, Kerkplein, Buitenhof, Spui and Kalvermarkt to Central Station.
  • The last stop for Tram 4 will temporarily be on the Kerkplein. Passengers can then switch there to Tram 2 and then switch to Tram 4 at the Laan van NOI (low stop) to continue on to Zoetermeer.
  • Passengers from Zoetermeer can switch trams at the Laan van NOI stop (temporary end stop for Tram 4) and then take Tram 2 towards the city centre. Passengers who would like to continue on Tram 4 in the direction of the Uithof can switch to Tram 4 on the Kerkplein.
  • Passengers in Tram 3 can switch at the Laan van NOI (low stop) to Tram 3 at the Laan van NOI (high stop) in the direction of Zoetermeer Centrum-West.
