Municipality stimulating talent

The municipality is calling attention to The Hague Pop Week for the first time in this way and is stressing the importance of the theme ‘Support your locals’. To make, play, experience and enjoy pop music The Hague is the place to be. For decades The Hague has produced many pop musicians and bands well-known both in the Netherlands as well as abroad.

Art and culture policy

A good artistic climate which provides space for innovation is not possible without new talent. This is especially true for the pop music sector. Stimulating talent development is an important point for the municipality in the Meerjarenbeleidsplan Kunst en Cultuur 2017-2020.
