Cromvlietplein: work on trees

Published: 18 February 2020Modified: 18 February 2020

Work will be carried out on the Cromvlietplein in the Laak district in February during the tree-cutting and planting season. This work will be finished in March.

What will happen?

In mid-February the municipality will start clearing away:

  • trees
  • the asphalt around trees
  • playground equipment
  • fences

Accessibility

The Cromvlietplein will be closed during the project. Pedestrians will not be able to walk on the square. This was already the case for cyclists and moped drivers. The playground will be temporarily unavailable. The city farm will remain open but a number of animals will be moved.

Planning

In March 2020 it will be announced which builder will construct the Cromvliet neighbourhood park. A festive activity will be held in conjunction with the planting of the new trees. More information will be announced at a later date.
