Come to the Day of the City 2019

The 3rd Day of the City (Dag van de Stad) takes place on Monday, 28 October 2019. This time The Hague will be the host city. During this day municipalities, urban professionals and active residents will exchange ideas and knowledge. You can now register for this event.

Are you an active resident, entrepreneur or professional in The Hague? Do you have good ideas for the city? Or would you like to learn from other cities and get inspired? Sign up for the Day of the City. The event takes place on 28 October 2019 in the World Forum.

Theme: How brave are you?

The theme of the Day of the City 2019 is: ‘How brave are you?’ ('Wie durft?'). Because bravery is required to solve complicated problems in cities. You can find this kind of daring reflected in the programme.

​​​​​​​During the Day of the City there will be interesting sessions on the choices cities have to make and the solutions they have come up with. You can also take part in city safaris through different neighbourhoods of The Hague. Notable speakers will be features, such as police chief Frank Paauw, writer Ilja Leonard Pfeijffer, Mayor Jos Wienen of Haarlem and Thinker Laureate of the Netherlands Daan Rovers.
