The Municipality of The Hague has announced that the huge and internationally renowned Cirque du Soleil will be coming to The Hague. The first time Cirque du Soleil will perform in The Hague is in the autumn of 2019. An announcement of which show will come to The Hague will be made in March 2019. Ticket sales will also start at that time.

Deputy Mayor Richard de Mos (Economic and Events) is pleased with the acquisition of this immensely popular circus. ‘This is of course great news for our city. For weeks Malieveld will be taken over by Cirque du Soleil, an absolute top draw. Worldwide the shows are always very well attended and it will bring many people to our beautiful The Hague. I am proud that we are hosting Cirque du Soleil, together with Staatsbosbeheer, the owner of the grounds, and that the organisers see us as their venue in the Netherlands for the future.’

Franck Hanselman, Cirque du Soleil's company manager: ‘Cirque Du Soleil will be coming to The Hague’s Malieveld with a Big Top show in 2019 and with the desire to regularly return in the subsequent 10 years.’

Senior Promotor Frederik van Alkemade at Mojo Concerts confirms ‘A Cirque du Soleil Big Top show is a triple A event and a venue with the same status is required. Malieveld checks all the boxes in my eyes: a centrally located beautiful and recently renewed site which is easy to reach by public transport. The Municipality of The Hague is a partner which is open to such cultural enrichment.’
