Binckhorstlaan: repair work on sewer lines

The sewer lines under the Binckhorstlaan will be repaired. The road will be closed between the Weteringkade and the Supernovaweg from Monday, 11 July to Sunday, 24 July 2022. Traffic will be diverted.

The work is needed because the sewer system is in poor condition. The contractor GMB will carry out the work.

Walk-in meeting

A walk-in meeting will be held for anybody who is interested. Municipal employees and the contractor will provide an explanation about the project and the schedule.

Schedule

Monday, 11 July to Sunday, 24 July

The project will start on Monday, 11 July at 7.00 hrs. The work will then be carried out 24 hours a day until Sunday, 25 July at 16.00 hrs.

Diversions

During the project the Binckhorstlaan will be closed between the Weteringkade and the Supernovaweg. There will be diversions for cars and bicycles as well as public transport.

Diversions for vehicular traffic

From the Lekstraat or Weteringkade towards the Binckhorstlaan: vehicular traffic will follow a diversion via the Weteringkade, Rijswijkseplein, Neherkade, Mercuriusweg and Binckhorstlaan (yellow route on the map).

From the Binckhorstlaan or Supernovaweg towards the city centre: vehicular traffic will follow a diversion via the Binckhorstlaan, Mercuriusweg, Neherkade, Rijswijkseweg, Weteringkade and Lekstraat (blue route on the map).

Diversions for vehicular traffic

HTM bus line 28 will follow a diversion. Look at the diversions on the website of HTM.
