Eurojust is a judicial cooperation unit created to help provide safety within an area of freedom, security and justice.


Eurojust’s core business is to assist the competent authorities of Member States, when they deal with serious cross-border and organised crime, such as:

  • Terrorism
  • Trafficking in human beings
  • Illegal immigrant smuggling
  • Drugs and arms
  • The sexual exploitation of women and children
  • Cybercrime
  • Online child abuse
  • Various kinds of fraud and money laundering
  • Counterfeiting
  • Environmental crime

Eurojust has been located permanently in The Hague since 2003.
