HMC Bronovo

HMC Bronovo is a general hospital for residents of The Hague and surrounding areas.

Haaglanden Medisch Centrum operates from 3 locations: HMC Westeinde and HMC Bronovo in The Hague and HMC Antoniushove in Leidschendam-Voorburg. HMC Bronovo was founded in 1865 as The Hague Deaconesses’ Institute ('s Gravenhaagsche Diaconessen-Inrichting). The name was later changed to Bronovo Hospital, after the first 'managing sister' Sara Katharina de Bronovo.

Bronovo Hospital is a medium-sized, general hospital which offers specialised medical care by a broad team of medical specialists. Virtually all specialisations are practised. The hospital has an alliance with the Leiden University Medical Centre and functions as a teaching hospital for medical students and interns.

The hospital aims to offer care that meets the individual patient’s needs and to synchronise this care with that of other medical care suppliers, such as home nursing, general practitioners and nursing and care homes. The motto of these multidisciplinary teams is 'Courteous care'.

Bronovo Hospital, together with The House Nebo and the Wassenaar Health Centre, form the Bronovo-Nebo Foundation (Stichting Bronovo-Nebo).
