HagaZiekenhuis - Leyweg

The HagaZiekenhuis is the largest hospital in The Hague region. The largest branch of the hospital is located on the Leyweg in the Leyenburg neighbourhood. The hospital offers nearly every medical specialisation and works at 3 locations and 1 outpatient clinic.

The Leyweg location includes an extensive operation complex, a modern Intensive Care unit and the so-called Spoedplein, where all forms of acute care can be found under 1 roof. It is home to the largest and most modern Accident and Emergency Department (Spoedeisende Hulp) in the region. The hospital also has an after-hours GP centre (huisartsenpost) and a 24-hour pharmacy. The Accident and Emergency Department is used is a trauma centre in the event of a calamity.

About the HagaZiekenhuis

HagaZiekenhuis (Haga Teaching Hospital) was created in 2004 as a result of the merger between 3 hospitals in The Hague: Juliana Children's Hospital, Red Cross Hospital and Leyenburg Hospital. It is the largest hospital in The Hague region. It offers nearly every medical specialisation and works at 3 locations as well as the Zorgplein Westland outpatient clinic (in the town of 's-Gravenzande).
