Utrechtsebaan (A12): roadworks

The Hague is growing. The number of residents is increasing and the city is welcoming more and more visitors and companies. To make sure that The Hague remains accessible, the Utrechtsebaan (A12) needs a major overhaul.

The municipality is renovating the Utrechtsebaan (A12) between Entrance and Exit ramp 1 (Den Haag-Centrum, the junction with the Zuid Hollandlaan, S101/N44) and Entrance and Exit ramp 3 (Bezuidenhout). The asphalt on this part of the Utrechtsebaan is resting on a concrete foundation. This foundation is now about 50 years old and is starting to wear out. The municipality will repair the concrete and replace the asphalt. The side walls and traffic systems will also be replaced. Once this work is done the road should last for many years to come.

The project has now reached the completion stage. Work is taking place as much as possible at times of the day when road users will experience a minimum amount of inconvenience.
