'Welcome to The Hague region'

The City of The Hague and ACCESS cordially invite new arrivals to The Hague to our 'Welcome to The Hague region' programme on Friday, 30 November 2018.

The Welcome to The Hague region programme is designed for those coming to work and live in The Hague, Delft, Leidschendam-Voorburg and Rijswijk. Family members are welcome, and encouraged to attend.

This morning programme includes an overview of useful resources for finding information, a chance to have questions answered by ACCESS volunteers, an opportunity to meet fellow internationals, a visit to The Hague Public Library as well as a short informative guided visit to the historic centre near City Hall.


  • 9.30 hrs. Arrival and coffee at The Hague International Centre at The Hague City Hall, Spui 70.
  • 10.00 hrs. Start of programme in Haagse Lobby including a presentation on ‘Living in the Netherlands: Who are the Dutch’ and an introduction to the support resources provided by ACCESS and the city. Following the presentation, we will take a guided tour of the historic city centre.
  • 12.30 hrs. Return to The Hague International Centre for coffee and networking opportunities and a chance to have more questions answered.
  • 13.00 hrs. End of programme.
