Symphony in the Park

The Residentie Orkest will treat residents of The Hague to a free romantic sunset concert in the Zuiderparktheater on Friday, 23 August.

Chief conductor Nicholas Collon will kick off the concert season with a colourful French evening. It is worth a visit for Ravel’s world-famous ‘Boléro’ alone. But you should also come for the extraordinary musical encounter between the orchestra and top young cellist Andreas Brantelid, who has been storming international stages since the age of 14.

The programme features:

Debussy – Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun

Fauré – Elegy for cello and orchestra

Ravel – ‘Daphnis et Chloé’ Suite No. 2

Ravel – Boléro
