Kermesse Francophone

The Hague’s traditional Kermesse Francophone de La Haye is the charity event of the year for the Francophone community and Francophiles. It will take place on Saturday, 24 November at the International School of The Hague (ISH).

This annual charity bazaar is full of fun and games, crafts, a market, concerts and food and drinks.

All the stands and activities are organised, decorated and run by volunteers. There you can find regional French and international goods, oyster tasting, cakes, second hand French books and clothing, toys, antiques and crafts (home decoration, fashion, jewellery, patchwork, glass etching etc.).

There will also be games and sporting activities organised for children and plenty of culinary treats. The stalls with regional and international culinary specialties also open at 12.00 hrs.

One of the main attractions of the day is the raffle with more than 200 prizes. Many prestigious prizes are offered by donators who support the Kermesse every year.

Humanitarian projects

All proceeds from the Kermesse Francophone are donated to humanitarian projects in developing countries. In 2018 the French bazaar raised money for 16 different projects in the fields of education, health, rural development, accommodation and hospitality for people in need.
