Haags UIT Festival

The Haags UIT Festival offers a 3-day preview of the upcoming 2018-2019 cultural season in The Hague. This edition kicks off on Friday, 31 August with an open house at the Cultuurankers, followed by the UIT Nach at the city's theatres on Saturday, 1 September. On Sunday, 2 September everyone is welcome to make their way to the Cultural Market on the Lange Voorhout and the many live performances at various locations in the city.

Open house at the Cultuurankers

On Friday, 31 August the so-called 'Cultuurankers' (neighbourhood theatres) will hold an open house with performances by well-known musicians and local talent. You can listen to great live music for free during the Paard van Stal Festival. Locations include Theater and Filmhuis Dakota, Muzee Scheveningen, Bibliotheek Nieuw Waldeck and the Paard.

UIT Nach

During the UIT Nach on Saturday, 1 September you can attend all kinds of free performances and activities. Visit Korzo for an impressive dance programme full of international talent, fall under the spell of La La Land at the Filmhuis outdoor cinema or jump and sing to the Balkan sounds of L’Chaim. Still have some energy left? Dance till the sun rises in the clubs of The Hague with Clubhopping. This is your chance to see and feel the diversity of its nightlife, completely free of charge. You won’t find a better afterparty.

Cultural Market

On Sunday, 2 September the Lange Voorhout will turn into the city’s main cultural hot spot for the weekend with a cultural market, 5 outdoor stages, street theatre, culture pitches, workshops and food and drinks. For a good start to the day visit the City Breakfast in Theater aan het Spui. Get moving during the workshops of the Nederlands Dans Theater, enjoy a classical programme in the Kloosterkerk and take your children to see the Dutch heroes Buurman & Buurman in the Filmhuis.

A total of more than 60 free performances can be seen at 12 locations in the downtown area, including indoor and outdoor stages. The yearly Cultural Market always attracts large crowds – more than 100 cultural organisations, producers and companies gather here to present their products or services.

You can use the day to purchase tickets (with discounts) for new upcoming performances, watch street theatre and visit the information booths around the Lange Voorhout. Here you can get all your questions answered and purchase tickets for the upcoming cultural season with great discounts only available during the Haags UIT Festival.
