‘Free To Move’ dance benefit

The top dance companies in the Netherlands will join forces for 'Free To Move' on Thursday, 29 August in the Zuiderstrandtheater. The unique dance performance will be a special benefit evening for the fight against neuromuscular diseases.

The performance is also the opening of the 2019-2020 dance season in The Hague. Artistic Director of Holland Dance Festival Samuel Wuersten has worked with the Prinses Beatrix Spierfonds to put together a top programme from the Dutch dance world.

In the presence of HRH Princess Beatrix you will be able to see performances by Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, De Dutch Don’t Dance Division, Introdans, Codarts Rotterdam, the Junior Company of the National Ballet and Knot on Hands.

Healthy muscles

Dancing symbolises the ultimate freedom of movement, a freedom which begins with healthy muscles. This freedom is not a matter of course for people with a muscular disease. The Prinses Beatrix Spierfonds and Holland Dance will raise money towards research into curing neuromuscular diseases.
