Embassy Festival

A wave of global culture will sweep through The Hague during the annual Embassy Festival, taking place on 31 August and 1 September on the picturesque Lange Voorhout. Tempt the senses while you explore music, cuisine and culture during a varied and free festival which promises to delight and entertain audiences of all ages.

Expect an innovative musical programme featuring pop, jazz, folk and classical music, as well as culinary delights, theatre, literature, art and activities spanning all corners of the globe. Stroll the tree-lined boulevard of the Lange Voorhout and soak up the many charms our beautiful world has to offer.

On the evening of Friday, 31 August the festivities will kick off at 17.00 hrs. with 1 stage offering a diverse and colourful programme. The festival will fully commence on Saturday, 1 September starting at 12.00 hrs. and will centre around 4 stages, a Kids Compound and the International Market.

Cultural enlightenment

At the festival you will get to see lots of international and talented acts which are on the verge of a breakthrough. Previous acts which have played at the Embassy Festival have proven this. A diverse collection of acts, modern as well as classical, as well as dance and theatre acts make the Embassy Festival the perfect destination for every musical and cultural enthusiast.

International Market

Foodies will rejoice at the International Market, with the best wines, sausages, cakes, sandwiches and lots of different traditional bites that have been ‘flown in’ from across the globe. The Embassy Festival is a testament that culture brings people together.

Last year the festival welcomed 35,000 visitors of all different ages. Get transported into a different world with some 60 participating embassies showcasing the cultual richness of their countries.

The Embassy Festival takes place from 17.00 to 23.00 hrs. on Friday, 1 September and from 12.00 to 20.00 hrs. on Saturday, 2 September on the Lange Voorhout.
