Christmas concert by the Cecilia Choir

The Cecilia International Choir will give its annual Christmas carol concerts this year in the Franse Kerk in Voorburg on Friday, 13 December and the Oud-Katholieke Kerk in The Hague on Tuesday, 17 December.

This year the concert’s title is ‘The Road Home’. The programme will include some special items for the choir and soloists. This year's programme features music by Paulus, Hassler, Warlock, Vaughan Williams, Lauridsen, Willcocks and others..

In addition to the pieces sung by the choir, the concert programmes provide opportunities for the audience to join in the singing of traditional Christmas carols, all under the leadership of conductor Sanda Audere.

Seasonal refreshments like mulled wine and mince pies will be served in the interval at no extra charge.

About the choir

The Cecilia International Choir is a mixed voice group of approximately 70 singers. Starting in 1976 as the British Choir, it gradually attracted both local Dutch members and expatriates from many different cultures who wanted to enjoy singing in an English speaking environment. In addition to these carol concerts, the choir rehearses classical choral works, which are performed in late June.
