Burns Night Ceilidh

The St Andrew’s Society will organise the annual Burns Night dinner and dance on Friday, 24 January at the British School of the Netherlands in Leidschenveen.

The traditional Burns Night dinner and dance celebrates the life and works of one of Scotland’s most famous poets, Robert Burns (author of Auld Lang Syne).

The evening will feature a good Scottish style meal, with the best Edinburgh (Macsween’s) haggis (both meat and veggie available), Bashit Neeps (also known as turnip in Scotland, and swede in its lower shires), and Champit Tatties (spuds, or potatoes to the well heeled).

No dancing experience is necessary. There will be a Scottish dance teacher at hand who will walk and talk you through each dance…and plenty of fun to be had.

The dress code is smart casual or kilt.
